Is Mayhem 11 easier than Mayhem 10? ›

This difficulty level is the same as Mayhem 10 but without all the Mayhem Modifiers, therefore, all the rewards are reduced. Note – August 9, 2022: Mayhem 11 is still bugged and you will get the same rewards as Mayhem 10.

The issue is that by the time you reach Mayhem 10, enemies have a 12,500% health boost and modifiers that reduce player damage even further (75% less crit damage, 90% less elemental damage). Player guns only have about 200-250% more damage than they did, dropping at Mayhem 10 compared to Mayhem 4.

For example, a Cutsman submachine gun that drops in Mayhem level 2 will be more powerful than one that drops in Mayhem level 1. Given that enemies' health, shield, and armor stats increase with each Mayhem level, the damage boost that you get from weapons in one Mayhem level will help you to prepare for the next.

How much lower are the drop rates? 50% less, it seems, and I would predict that many players may stay on Mayhem 10 for say, boss farming, given that the modifiers there may not be obtrusive for a single enemy fight. Though that reduction does not affect dedicated drops, reportedly.

Is it better to farm for loot in TVHM or Normal, when activating Mayhem levels? In short, what the answer appears to be is that since there are more badass enemies, who generally drop better loot, in story segments or Proving Grounds or Slaughterhouse, you are probably going to get more legendary drops in TVHM.

Statistic-wise, the Widowmaker performs identically to the Minigun, even using the same ammunition, being a great weapon against helicopters, planes, motor vehicles, and multiple enemies.

The plasma bolts fired by the Brute Plasma Rifle deal more damage than those shot by the standard Plasma Rifle; it can melt through shields with very few shots and deals moderate damage to unshielded enemies.

Character health and shield capacity do not scale in the same way that weapon damage does with the mayhem level.

Level Up Fast - Side Missions

Completing in-game side missions is one way to level up fast in Agents of Mayhem. Find these quests in both the Missions area, and on the map. Each of these missions will give you a set amount of experience, so you should have a good idea of what you're getting for your efforts.

Does mayhem level matter for class mods? ›

Class mods do not come with Anointments and can not receive Mayhem Level bonuses.

Just recently, Borderlands 3 received an update for Mayhem Mode that increased the level you can play at to ten. Long story short, this allows for players who are at the top of their game to receive even more powerful versions of their favorite weapons.

Rerolling modifiers or changing Mayhem levels requires a reload of the area if not aboard Sanctuary III. These modifiers are separate for each level and can be rerolled at any time via the Mayhem menu tab. Modifiers will remain permanent for each character's save file until they are changed.
