A tidbit from their forum:

Post: Luckily, Tony Mowbray just happens to be available

Reply: Don’t we ever learn ? In the recent history of our club we have taken nothing but rubbish from Sunderland - kenwyn Jones, Danny Collins, some other players I don’t even care to remember, now Alex Neil and Enda (for gods sake what kind of name is that !) Stevens. Thank you but no thank you - don’t want to see anything coming our way from Sunderland !

1 game in which he made Mowbray look an absolute amateur in

Good debate this mate, congrats

He’s tactically way beyond Mowbray. His ability to manipulate games from the bench was the best of any Sunderland manager I can recall in a number of years. Including Stoke away. Can’t really remember Mowbray doing that more than once or twice all season.

Have to say mind id still rather have Mowbray every day of the week over Neil

“Alex is a man of absolute integrity”… the Stoke chairman.

You sure about that pal?

We are as happy as you .

He’s a bald two faced gonk.

Can’t stand him the dour tit wank.

I’m actually a little disappointed. It was nice on the days that we lost to sugar the pill and look at their result to see that they had done worse than us. Plus I had hoped he would complete the job and get them relegated

Its embarassing for him that the team of kids he said needed more experience and his personal input into transfers has significantly outperformed the team with more experience built at considerable expense with his input into transfers.

He maybe should reflect on that and realise maybe he isn't the footballing guru that only exists in his own head, but he is a decent coach. Leave the buying players to people like Speakman with a proven track record.

Excellent post and spot on

To be fair people always seem to think managers get their full contract paid off when, in reality, it'll depend on the terms. He'll probably get a decent pay off mind, but have to consider the fact that very few decent championship clubs will want him again so his future contracts are likely to be significantly lower

One year is now industry standard unless a club is desperate.

When you have a close look back at his managerial career , his choice of player speaks volumes. We had a good all round team when he first arrived and at the play off final. He got lucky that day.

Stoke is like a big version of Royston Vasey in The League of Gentlemen. So I reckon they'll go for someone local, like Eustace or Pulis.

Lawrence and Whitehead also played for them, although Stevens didn't play for us. Mind they seem to take our fodder and then finish above us in the league.
