WWE: The 10 Best Entrance Songs in History

0 of 10

Entrance themes can make or break a wrestler, they can turn good wrestlers into superstars and superstars into legends. It is the very first thing a crowd hears when a wrestler is making his way into the arena.

We've already taken a look at some of the worst themes in wrestling history, and so now it's time to look at the best.

You cannot think of Hulk Hogan without thinking of "Real American," you can't think of Steve Austin without hearing the glass break and you certainly can't think of Roddy Piper without the bagpipes.

These entrance themes live in our memories because of their effectiveness, their impact on our emotions and their place in history.

No more talk, let's get started...

10. Demolition

1 of 10

OK, gotta go old school on our No. 10 entry.

Sure, Demolition were Road Warrior ripoffs, but they had one of the most badass themes of the late '80s and early '90s.

    Here comes the Ax

    And here comes the Smasher

    The Demolition, walking disaster

Pain and destruction are our middle names.

Come on now, doesn't that just scream, "We're gonna destroy you"?

9. Kurt Angle

2 of 10

OK, OK, OK...technically, this was the Patriot's music first, but no one actually remembers that.

This theme was perfect for Angle: Olympic-like, celebratory and completely over the top.

The fact that the crowd figured out how to time a "you suck" chant in with the music just made it that much better.

8. Vince McMahon

3 of 10

Vince McMahon is one of the longest-running heel characters in WWE history since his debut in 1997 in a feud with Bret Hart (no, we're not going to discuss Montreal again).

Since then, Vince adapted the theme song of the In Your House PPV entitled "No Chance in Hell." It has since become synonymous with Vinnie Mac, and the crowds always pop like crazy when the first notes are heard.

The fact that the TitanTron manages to capture Vince's best moments nudges it up ever so slightly.

7. The Undertaker

4 of 10

Accentuated nicely by a dark arena and an eerie environment, the Undertaker's slow, funeral-like theme has withstood the test of time ever since his debut way back in the early 1990s.

The Undertaker's theme is creepy, simple and timeless, just like the worker that it introduces.

Even though Taker has gone through some persona changes throughout the years, this theme is the one that brings fans to their feet and gets the flashbulbs flashing.

You are truly not a wrestling fan until you have seen Taker's entrance live and in person.

6. The Honky Tonk Man

5 of 10

One of the most over-the-top (and successful) gimmick wrestlers of all time, the Honky Tonk Man was able to headline house shows in the late '80s for one simple reason: People really wanted to see him get his ass kicked.

HTM was originally brought in as a "friend" of Hulk Hogan and a babyface, which failed tremendously.

A quick heel turn and a cheesy Elvis gimmick quickly turned the fans against him. However, once Honky won the Intercontinental title (back when that meant something), he quickly became a heat machine.

This theme/video totally captures the Honky Tonk Man in a nutshell with the ridiculous lyrics and a rockabilly sound, which upset live crowds to no end.

5. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

6 of 10

Roddy Piper made an unbelievable impact on the World Wrestling Federation in the mid-1980s during one of the hottest heel runs the sport had ever seen.

Piper's brash style and in-your-face attitude made him one of the most hated men in wrestling and turned him into a very big star.

Once Piper turned babyface during his feud with Adrian Adonis, wrestling fans have loved the Rowdy One and cheered him at every turn.

His theme, with bagpipes blaring, is very simple and catchy...the perfect mix for a wrestling entrance. When the Scottish music hit, there was no mistaking who was heading down to the ring.

4. Ric Flair

7 of 10

The limousine ridin', jet flyin', kiss stealin', wheelin', dealin' son of a gun has a damn good entrance theme to go along with his 16 world titles.

Minus the annoying "Wooo!" at the beginning, Flair's theme is another that has withstood the test of time and has become synonymous with the wrestler himself.

Many other superstars have gone through numerous entrance theme changes, but it's almost sacrilegious to think about Flair entering to another theme.

Remember: Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair.

3. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

8 of 10

When you hear the glass, it's your ass.

Steve Austin essentially made a career out of making a dramatic entrance.

When there was a chaotic brawl or Vince McMahon was getting a little too arrogant, you knew the Texas Rattlesnake was only a glass break away from wrecking havoc.

The crowd reaction to this music cannot go ignored, which is why it's placed at No. 3 on the list.

2. Degeneration X

9 of 10

One of the most influential themes of all time, Degeneration X burst on the scene with an alternative rock anthem that blew previous themes out of the water.

Even though Degeneration X was a WWE response to the nWo, they still managed to break new ground with their sophom*oric antics and hard-hitting attiude.

Even today, if this theme hits, you can guarantee a massive crowd reaction.

1. Hulk Hogan

10 of 10

Whether you love him or hate him, there was simply no one who could electrify a crowd like Hulk Hogan.

"Real American" was originally written for the US Express (Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham), but Vince McMahon quickly realized that the song was more suited for his World Champion.

While Hogan has moved more towards his Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Child" theme in recent WWE appearances, there is no classic song better than his original.
